Artist Statement

My contemporary oil landscape paintings are a celebration of Canada's natural beauty. Once a newcomer who made this country home, I am honoured to contribute to our rich cultural heritage and I hope that through my art I can create a sense of connection to nature and the peace it brings to us.

As an artist living in Banff and the beautiful Canadian Rockies, my connection to the landscapes I paint runs deep. I draw directly from the places I explore: plein‑air studies and photographic reference gathered on hikes and ski adventures are the building blocks for my careful studio development.

My studio practice is inspired by the meticulous, multi‑layered oil painting techniques of the Flemish Masters. Often requiring months from start to finish, each stage of the process is executed with the utmost dedication: from surface preparation to multiple painting sessions and final varnishing. Each piece is the result of long observation and repeated refinements intended to capture light, colour and atmosphere.

Limited Edition Prints (Authenticity & Materials)

Each giclée is a signed, limited edition print and is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

Editions are strictly limited to: 75 Mini, 50 Small, 25 Full Size, and 10 Oversized canvas prints. No further canvas giclées will be produced beyond these numbers. In addition to the edition, a small number of Artist Proofs are retained for studio reference and quality control — standard practice is to reserve a handful (typically 5–10% of the edition) for that purpose; these are occasionally made available as signed proofs.

Prints are reproduced on high‑quality 100% cotton fine art canvas using archival pigment inks (industry‑standard Epson SureColor class printers), then finished with a UV‑protective satin varnish for long life and stable colour. Each canvas is signed by the artist and issued with its certificate.

Care note: to preserve colour and surface, display prints away from direct sunlight and high humidity. Clean lightly with a soft, dry cloth; avoid solvents or abrasive cleaners. Framing under UV‑filtered glazing is recommended for framed canvas or if you choose to float-mount behind glass.
